About the Krav Maga Federation

The Krav Maga Federation is comprised of individually owned schools. It produces the highest caliber instructors who adhere to the most stringent standards of teaching and training. The goal of the organization is to ensure the existence of the proper art of Krav Maga in the future. In a time when unqualified practitioners dilute the style and mis-represent their background for financial gain and recognition, its standards are crucial.

Each school of the Krav Maga Federation follows the guidelines and principles of Krav Maga set forth by the Krav Maga founder Imi Lichtenfeld and continued by Rhon Mizrachi without alteration. Specific rules and guidelines are created by Rhon, school owners and instructors. They are strictly upheld to ensure that the goals of the Federation will be continued and protected as the organization continues to grow.

The schools that make up the Federation are strongly tied to each other. Instructors and students have bonded to Rhon, their teachers and each other by the years spent training. These relationships are the reason that the KMF functions as a family, and will ensure the protection of the art in the future.

The leaders of the Krav Maga Federation share an unwavering commitment to the true art of Krav Maga: to follow the moral code set forth by Imi Lichtenfeld (creator) and continued by Rhon Mizrachi, to properly educate fighters, and to continue to respect what the art represents to the State of Israel and its people.

The President of the Federation is Dror Bikel, who also holds a place on the Krav Maga Federation Professional Committee. Eve Gold, co-owner of the KMF NYC flagship school, functions as the Federation manager and is responsible for ensuring that the guidelines for all Federation schools are upheld.

KMF is not a franchise and does not participate in any licensing agreements. It does not offer Instructor Certification Courses, or accept "donations" in exchange for rank. It remains true to the original art created by its founder including following the belted system, whereby learning new material and new techniques separates ranks from White through Black Belt.
